I’ve been using NARS Sheer Glow for around 7 years and originally picked it up on a trip to Paris at Sephora. I was obsessed from the moment I tried it. It was one of those, ‘what did I ever use before?’ products.
A self confessed make up junkie, I am a hoarder of eyeshadow palettes, pretty blushers and highlighters but the biggest make up love of my life has always been foundation. I’m always on the hunt for that airbrushed skin and no matter how many foundations catch my eye and take up space in my drawer, I constantly return to my NARS bottle and I always fall back in love with it all over again.
When I heard NARS brought out the Natural Radiant Longwear foundation, it was instantly on my wish list and I watched YouTube ‘First impressions’ videos and after seeing how beautiful it looked (and with my sheer glow running low) I popped it in my online basket.
It arrived the next day in time for me to get ready for the day and I was so excited to try it, keeping it’s classic packaging which even looks great on display, I did a little happy dance when I discovered it came with a pump, unlike the sheer glow which to me had been its only downfall.
I ordered the same colour as I am in the sheer glow – Barcelona -and my first thought was that this formula looked darker. When I swatched the two together though they do look incredibly similar but I do feel like the NRL is ever so slightly darker. This foundation is available in an incredible 33 shades!
With all foundations and B.B. Creams I apply the product with a damp beauty blender and with this foundation, a little goes a long way! The result is just beautiful…a natural skin like coverage with a luminous finish. My skin is combination, leaning to oily so with the smallest application of setting powder it doesn’t budge or look too shiny at the end of a long day running around after a toddler and a threenager. It doesn’t settle into fine lines or pores and has quickly become my all time favourite!
I tend to wear B.B creams day to day so I use this foundation mostly on special occasions, nights out or if I’ve had an especially bad nights sleep and need some great coverage. It lasts a long time, and with the compliments on my skin I get when I wear it, it is also worth every penny!
I picked mine up for £35 from ASOS here
